PURPOSE: A method of establishing a radio link is provided to establish a radio link between at least two subscribers in a simple manner in a network without a stationary relay stain. CONSTITUTION: A method of producing a radio link between at least two subscribers of a digital relay radio network is designed so that the individual network subscribers are assigned an individual location dependent position identifier, the position of all network subscribers being thereby determined relative to one another. When the position identifier is assigned relative to one another, the radio link from network subscribers to the network subscribers can be established step by step. A source subscriber to establish the radio link must destination subscriber and one's own position identifier. Then, the radio link is established through other network subscriber existing between source and destination subscriber.
