PURPOSE: LCD displays a high quality image, controls an influence of unnecessary electric field generated by active element mounted to a substrate, prevents an image spot on screen owing to a conduction and polarization within a black matrix, and does not use a black matrix. CONSTITUTION: Many common electrodes(5) are formed on TFT substrate for a superposition of each data bus line(2) involved to the same row of TFT matrix. Then, many common bus lines(3) are formed to superpose gate but lines(7,1) and TFT(6). Accordingly, unnecessary electric field arrived to a liquid crystal layer(18) is cut off. The common bud line(3) and the common electrode(5) are formed on the interlayer insulation layer(12) or are formed to the direction of the liquid crystal layer(18). The data bus line(2), the gate bus lines(7,1) and the pixel electrode(4) are separated from the liquid crystal layer(18), and are formed to opposite side of the interlayer insulation layer(12). Thereby, LCD controls an influence of unnecessary electric field generated by active element mounted to a substrate, and prevents an image spot on screen.
