PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a useful degerming/antimicrobial agent of high degerming/ antimicrobial ability with no side effect as well as no fumigation odor involved. SOLUTION: This degerming/antimicrobial agent comprises raw chaff vinegar component and dilutive component; wherein the raw chaff vinegar component diluted with water as the dilutive component is adjusted so as to account for 1-5 wt.% of the whole agent. By the way, since the raw chaff vinegar as the dry-distilled matter derived from chaff contains only minute amounts of viscous matter such as tar compared to wood vinegar, it is high in affinity for water and therefore unlikely to stain the container holding it even if diluted with tap water.
