PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a uniform and smooth surface with coating-liquid stabilized by forming a groove and a protrusion part on the surface of a lip contacted with a fed film-substrate at a film substrate inflow side. SOLUTION: A groove 7 is formed in parallel to a slit 3 on a lip 4 of the inflow side of a film substrate. The width of the lip 4 is about 3 mm and is placed about 1.5 mm apart from the slit 3. The width of the groove 7 is about 500μm and the depth of the groove is about 300μm. This constitution prevents a longitudinal streak from generating caused by air taken in even though a line speed becomes about 130 m/min. Furthermore, it is preferred that a filiform material of about 500μm in diameter is filled up in the groove 7 and is extended with fixed at its right and left sides so that the streak may not be generated even though such the line speed becomes about 150 m/min. Thus, the improved surface-characteristics are obtained.
