PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery make-up cosmetic that can retain the cosmetic effect as well as the moistening effect, excellently. SOLUTION: The objective powdery make-up cosmetic contains a pigment that is coated with an agar-agar having a jelly strength of 400-800 g/cm2, when its aqueous solution of 5 wt.% concentration is solidified. The amount of the agar-agar for coating the pigment is preferably 1.0-10.0 wt.% based on the total weight of the agar-agar and the pigment. The treatment of the pigment with <1.0 wt.% of the agar-agar may not assert the effect according to this invention, >10.0 wt.% causes the difficulty of grinding agar-coated pigment after coating and drying or the feeling of the powdery make-up cosmetic becomes deteriorated.
