PURPOSE: A brake device of an electrorheological fluid is provided to save energy by braking or releasing the rotation of a brake drum after electronically controlling the viscosity of a fluid. CONSTITUTION: A brake device of an electrorheological fluid is composed of an electrorheological fluid brake unit (100), a voltage controller (200) and an electronic controller (300). Herein, the electrorheological fluid brake unit is consisted of a conductive case (130), an outer case (150) and a sealing member (140) and is in charge of braking to the rotation of the brake drum. The voltage controller is prepared with a brush (210) and controls the viscosity of the electrorheological fluid by feeding a second voltage to the conductive case, and the electronic controller controls the voltage controller by receiving a switch manipulation signal of a user and regulates the voltage fed to the electrorheological fluid brake unit. |
