PURPOSE: An optical element and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent a damage of an organic layer by using an optical element used as an image panel without any interval between neighbored image panels. CONSTITUTION: An optical element comprises an electrode(15), an accumulated material, an insulated layer(32), and a conductive projection. The electrode is arranged on a substrate. The accumulated material is provided on the electrode to cover an optical operation area. The insulated is formed to cover an upper face of the accumulated material. The conductive projection is provided on the electrode to be arranged on non-optical operation area. An upper face of the projection is higher than an upper face of the accumulated material and it is lower than an upper face of the insulated layer to be buried a penetrating hole(23,27) formed on the insulated layer. An exposed portion of the projection is electrically exposed on the insulated layer. |
