PURPOSE: Provided is a general carbonization for producing acetic acid and a process for producing an acetic acid by carbonyl carbon-monoxide, methanol and(or) reaction derivatives thereof under existence of methyl iodine, optionally a promoter of catalysis and limited concentration of water CONSTITUTION: Provides is a process for removing high quality organic iodine-compound containing iodine-hexyl from acetic acid by carbonization of methanol and (or) reaction derivatives thereof, under existence of methyl iodine, optionally a promoter of catalysis and limited concentration of water. The process comprises the steps of: distilling an aqueous composition containing acetic acid or high quality iodine compound, inside of a column or in a section of column; separating water from the upper part of a separated part of dried acetic acid. The concentration of water is not less than 8 wt% in a supply platform of column or a section of column and up to 70 wt% in head of column or a section of column.
