PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rapid change of braking force by providing an increase gradient restraining means for restraining increase gradient of the braking force lower than a given value at a starting time of a braking auxiliary control when a system is started under a state where a brake operation is performed during running of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This braking force control device can control a wheel cylinder pressure PW/C regardless of a brake operation amount, based on a control signal supplied to a hydraulic actuator 18 from an ECU 10. When a system is started under a brake operation state and an assist oil pressure PA is immediately supplied to a wheel cylinder 22 with braking auxiliary control, the wheel cylinder pressure PW/C is rapidly increased from a liquid pressure equal to a master cylinder pressure PM/C to the assist oil pressure PA. After the starting of the system, by moderately increasing the wheel cylinder pressure PW/C toward the assist oil pressure PA, rapid change of a braking force is prevented. |
