PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items of an iron and improve the assembly of the iron in order to provide an iron case with a lock mechanism. SOLUTION: When an iron body 1 is put on a mounting base 75 and a case 101 is covered over the iron body, the elastic deformation of the case 101 makes an engaging tooth 106 engage with the mounting base 75. Conversely, the case 101 can be easily put off, by hooking a user's finger on a finger hook 103 protruded on the lower periphery of the case 101. The finger hook 103 provides a lock button function. However, a dedicated lock button is unnecessary because the finger hook 103 is formed so as to be integrated with the case 101. Moreover, since the elasticity of the case 101 makes the engaging tooth 106 engaged or released, the number of part items can be reduced.
