PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the separation of a dielectric substance substrate from a discharging electrode even in the case of baking the discharging electrode after the dielectric substance substrate in an electric discharge body for generating ozone obtained by attaching and forming a discharging electrode and an induction electrode on both sides of the dielectric substance substrate. SOLUTION: A discharging electrode 14 is constituted of a metal-containing baked layer containing tungsten powder as a metal component. The metal- containing baked layer is formed so as to bake the tungsten powder into a semisintered state. Consequently the metal component in the metal-containing baked layer is provided with properties as a kind of elastic body. Even if a temperature around the discharging electrode 14 is extremely changed by the use or the stop of the use of an electric discharge body 10 for generating ozone, a strain caused by difference of coefficient of thermal expansion between a ceramic substrate 12 (dielectric substance substrate) and the discharging electrode 14 following the change is absorbed by the elastic deformation action of the metal component in the metal-containing baked layer to prevent the separation of the ceramic substrate 12 from the discharging electrode 14.
