PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably cauterize the blood vessel in the center of the peduncle of a polyp and reliably cauterize and sever the peduncle of a polyp up to the central portion without causing bleeding by folding back the tip portion of a snare wire to the inside of a loop in association with drawing of the folded back portion of the tip into the tip of a sheath. SOLUTION: A flexible conductive metal control wire 2 is inserted withdrawably into a flexible sheath 1 that can be plugged into and unplugged from a treating device insertion channel of an endoscope, a snare wire 3 made up of a conductive metal and spreading by its own elasticity in the form of a loop is connected to the tip of the control wire 2 through a connecting pipe 4 by soldering or the like. The tip portion 5 of the snare wire 3 is folded back to the inside of the loop, thereby contacting quickly the folded-back portion 5 of the tip to the blood vessel in the center of the peduncle of a polyp and reliably cauterizing, when the control wire 2 is drawn to ablate the polyp via an endoscope.
