PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely control a video display device that connects to a personal computer and is mounted with a PDP by using other personal computer. SOLUTION: In the remote control system where a prescribed interface standard is used to interconnect a 1st personal computer system 2 with a video display device 1 and the 1st personal computer system 2 controls the video display device via the interconnection, the 1st personal computer system 2 is provided with a protocol conversion processing section 2b that mutually converts a communication control procedure used for the Internet and the interface standard. The 1st personal computer system 2 connects to the Internet 3, a 2nd personal computer system 4 connecting to the Internet 3 transmits remote control data to the 1st personal computer system 2, the protocol conversion processing section 2b of the 1st personal computer system 2 converts the communication protocol to control the video display device. |
