PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a required client of a fact that a limited open record is registered just by making the record contained in a data base previously include the opening destination by notifying the client of the opening destination of the presence of the open record if a record whose opening destination is designated is previously registered in the data base. SOLUTION: A commodity information data base SDB contains every commodity record and its linked image file. Each of users (clients) A, B, C... accesses the data base SDB of a center from a remote place to optionally read out and use the records. A data base server SRC decides whether a record whose opening destination is designated is previously registered in the data base SDB and then notifies the client of the said opening destination of the presence of an open record if the record whose opening destination is designated is registered in the data base SDB.
