PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cables for a communication cable network capable of being wound around normal cable transport drums with high flexural rigidity, on the other hand, capable of transforming into flexible communication cables without a lot of trouble. SOLUTION: In this communication cable network to be used in a culvert system originally used for other purposes, communication cables are fixed on the inner walls of the culvert system or the duct system. The communication cable is composed of a core (7-10) and a coating (11), and the core (7-10) of the communication cable is very flexible, further the coating (11) has substantial rigidity with the sag of less 20 mm for the cable length of 2000 mm between fixed points. The coating (11) is taken away from the core (7-10) near a vertical tunnel of the culvert system or the conduit system.
