PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage and high temperature cable with a large power transmission capacity by using an insulating tape whose insulating layer at least partially contains a polyolefine resin film, using a medium viscosity insulating oil having a specific viscosity as insulating oil, and directly impregnating the insulating tape with the medium viscosity insulating oil without previously impregnating the insulating layer with a low viscosity insulating oil. SOLUTION: Insulating oil is a medium viscosity insulating oil whose viscosity at 60 deg.C is 10 cst or more and lower than 500 cst. Oil impregnating insulating oil 3 is constituted by impregnating a wound craft paper tape with the insulating oil, and as an insulting tape, a composite tape formed by laminating craft paper on one side or both sides of a polyolefine resin film or an insulating tape comprising only the polyolefine resin film is used. An external semi-conductive layer 4 contains a metal tape or a metal paper formed by adhering the metal tape on the craft paper. As an anticorrosive player 6, polyethylene is used mainly, and usually about two metal tapes 7 are wound with a cloth tape.
