PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player having high operation reliability, capable of contributing to the increase of the disposing and designing freedom of a member, the miniaturization/simplification of an entire mechanism and a reduction in costs by reducing the number of motors and detecting elements, and also reducing the number of related members including wires. SOLUTION: A selection mechanism 1 selectively transmits the driving force of a power motor 10 to a switching control mechanism 2, a roller driving mechanism 3, and a pickup feeding mechanism 4. In the vicinity of an optical pickup 40, a detection switch 51 is provided for performing both of inner periphery detection and chucking completion detection by using the operation of the optical pickup 40 and, in the vicinity of a carrier roller member 30, a not-shown disk detecting means consisting of plural optical sensors is provided. A control circuit 90 is adapted to control a disk driving motor 9 and the power motor 10 according to detecting signals from the detection switch 51 and the disk detecting means.
