PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline secondary battery prevented from a contact short circuit caused by a positive electrode including a conductive base board having three-dimensional structure and provided with an excellent internal pressure characteristic. SOLUTION: In an alkaline secondary battery provided with a group of electrodes having a positive electrode including a three-dimensional structure conductive base board and a negative electrode spirally wound via a separator and an alkali electrolyte, an auxiliary separator 14 is fixed on the negative electrode side of a main separator 5 arranged on the outside of the winding starting part of the positive electrode 3, and the auxiliary separator 14 at least faces the winding starting part of the positive electrode 3 via the main separator 5. |
