PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and method for approaching vehicle information output which display approaching vehicle information according to its vehicle information only when the driver requires the approaching vehicle information. SOLUTION: The approaching vehicle information output device which provides approaching vehicle information at an intersection, etc., where a visual field is bad owing to a building, etc., for a driver is equipped with a vehicle information gathering part which gathers drive information on its vehicle, an information control part which judges whether or not approaching information on the intersection is outputted from the drive information on this vehicle, and a display part which outputs the approaching vehicle information provided by this information control part.
