PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector with a metal outer tube body easy and reliable to assemble. SOLUTION: In this electric connector, a tubular support 4 housing a contact piece 1 to be connected to the tip of a cable C is inserted in the same direction into a metal outer tube body 14 formed with slits 18 extended in the axial direction and opened at one end in the axial direction, and a locking lug 7 formed on the outer periphery of the tubular support 4 is locked to the lock section 19 of the outer tube body 14. The lock section 19 is formed at the depth section of each slit 18 to be communicated with the slit 18.
