PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain safety by providing an electromagnetic brake in such a way as to be automatically controllable by electromagnetic action in a declutched state and in a high-revolution range of running wheels, and making a motor can run at a low speed or stop, even if the motor car is declutched and is going to run at a high speed descending a down hill in the cource of downhill running. SOLUTION: When a clutch 1 is disengaged, power is not transmitted from a motor M to a brake shaft 3. However, if drive rotation of running wheels 4 goes to a no-load state, and the running wheels 4 rotate in case of running at a place such as a down hill, a clutch gear 27 and the brake shaft 3 are rotated through a differential gear 30 and a ring gear 31, and reverse transmission takes place. If an electromagnetic brake 2 is applied in this state, it is possible to brake and stop the running wheels 4. Consequently, the running wheels 4 are automatically braked and stopped, if a difference speed from the speed of rotation of a motor shaft 17 is equal to or higher than a constant value. Besides, they are also brakes and stopped automatically, even if this difference speed is within the constant value, if this state continues exceeding a constant time. |
