<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose industrial waste containing lead by immersing a PDP containing lead in etchant for selectively dissolving the glass, separating the glass into a front surface plate and a back surface plate, and forming recessed grooves on both base plates of the front surface plate and the back surface plate between the periphery of an image display part and a joining part of a sealing glass. SOLUTION: A front surface plate 1 and a back surface plate 2 are separately provided and overlapped, and their peripheries are sealed by a sealing glass 13. Grooves 12 are formed on both ends of a base plate of the front surface plate 1 by a diamond blade. Grooves are formed on both ends of a base plate of the back surface plate 2. A PDP whose original performance is lost is recovered from market, immersed in etchant for selectively dissolving glass containing lead, and separated into the front surface plate 1 and the back surface plate 2. Deteriorated MgO and a fluorescent part are removed, and new MgO and fluorescent part are formed so as to be recycled as a new panel. Since the grooves 12 are preformed on the front surface plate 1 and the back surface plate 2, etchant is prevented from permeating the inside.</p> |
