摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a power source circuit and also to reduce the power consumption by interposing a liquid crystal layer between a substrate having scanning electrodes and a substrate having signal electrodes and driving liquid crystal by changing over the driving duties without changing the voltage levels of respective driving voltages. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal is deriven by a signal line driver 22 and a scanning line driver 23. At this time, a liquid crystal layer is made to be interposed between a substrate having scanning electrodes 25 and a substrate having signal electrodes 24 and they drive liquid crystal by changing over driving duties without changing voltage levels of respective driving voltages. By such a constitution, since it becomes unnecessary to change the voltage levels by respectively changing over the voltage levels of respective driving voltages in accordance with driving duties, a power source circuit is simplified and power consumption is also reduced in addition to this. Moreover, since the voltages levels of respective driving voltages can be held constant as they are, disturbance in the display of this display device is eliminated and the display quality can be enhanced.
