PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driving margin from remarkably decreasing due to panel temperature. SOLUTION: This driving method is the one in the case that a scanning signal C impressed on scanning electrodes is composed of a reset pulse C1, a write pulse C2, and an auxiliary pulse C3, by expressing the voltage of the write pulse C2 by Vcom, the voltage of a white information signal SW impressed on information electrodes by Vseg, and the auxiliary pulse voltage by V5, and a value of Vseg/(Vseg+Vcom) and a value of (V5+Vseg)/(Vseg+Vcom) are made to differ from each other according to the temperatures so that a crosstalk value takes almost a maximum value irrespective of the panel temperatures. Thus, even in a high definition liquid crystal panel with the number of scanning electrodes exceeding 2000 lines, the driving margin takes almost a maximum value irrespective of the panel temperatures, and an excellent quality picture can be displayed.
