PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-source on/off mechanism which eliminates the need for the satisfaction of a safety standard on electrical wiring and the consideration of noise by omitting AC bundle wire. SOLUTION: The power-source on/off mechanism for the image forming device whose upper frame can be opened/closed in relation to its lower frame by turning movement is composed of an interlock switch 104 disposed on a power-source board 101, a slide rod 109 which moves by being pushed by a cover capable of being opened/closed, a spring (elastic member) 110 for pressing the slide rod 109 in a fixed direction, and a turning arm 105 which engages with the interlock switch 104 and slide rod 109 and is turnable. This makes it possible to omit AC bundle wire for the connection of the interlock switch 104 and power-source board 101 and makes it unnecessary to satisfy the safety standard on the electrical wiring and to take noise into consideration. |
