<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily arrange a key in an electric product requiring the input of data by realizing the input of various kinds of data by means of a simple operation through the use of a small number of keys. SOLUTION: In this data input method, a key code inputted by the operation of input keys 16a-j is converted into KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) data and, then, the choices concerning one input cancel function are displayed together with conversion candidates which are converted into KANA/KANJI in the selection element display area 28 of a liquid crystal display 14. The conversion candidates and the choices can be selected by the movement of the position of an inversion display region by the operation of a movement key 18a. One conversion candidate is selected from the display of the selection element display area 28. When the selected conversion candidate is inputted as data, the choices concerning one character cancel function in place of the one input cancel function is displayed in the selection element display area 28 together with the choices concerning a mode change-over function and an editing function.</p> |
