PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for generating an electric signal conditioned in response with force to be impressed on the device. SOLUTION: The device 10 includes a shaft 11 fitted to a substrate 14. Strain sensing registers 16 for generating the electric signal which expresses the largeness and direction of force to be added to the shaft by the user are mounted in the periphery of the shaft as against the substrate. Apertures 17 are arranged in the substrate and each of them is positioned between a pair of strain sensing resistors 16. The apertures 17 concentrate stress in the resistors 16. A signal conditioning device 20 is fitted to the substrate and electrically connected to the resistors 16 in order to condition the electric signal. The device 20 receives the electric signal by an analog form and provides the conditioned signal by a digital form as an output.
