PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to supply a direct-current supply voltage to a booster installed on the antenna side of a protector when antennas for VHF and UHF are installed together with an antenna for BS. SOLUTION: The protector for protecting television contains a noise filter 26 placed between an input terminal 24 to which a television antenna line is connected through a booster and an output terminal 25 to which a television is connected through a booster power supply, and a ground-connected arrester 28 for protecting the television from induced lightening surge coming in through the television antenna line. A coil-like bypass line 27 is connected between the input and output of the noise filter 26 to supply direct-current signals from the television-side booster power supply to the television antenna-side booster.
