PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wasteful consumption of an incorporated battery before the assemblage. SOLUTION: A battery contact piece 73 which is brought into contact with one electrode of a battery 61 is arranged in the battery holding part 62b of a holding case 62 for storing the battery 61. Besides, a battery contact piece 74 which is brought into contact with the other electrode 61a of the battery 61 is attached to the end part of a protective cover 63. At the time of manufacturing the date imprinting device 21, a paper strip 75 is sandwiched between the battery 61a and the battery contact piece 74 so as to function as an insulating means for insulating the other electrode 61a of the battery 61 from the battery armature 74 which comes into contact with the electrode 61a. Thus, at the manufacturing process of the date imprinting device 21, the battery 61a is insulated from the battery contact piece 74, then, the battery does not start to use even in the case the battery 51 is stored.
