PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the storage stability of a heat-developable photosensitive material containing a contrast enhancing agent, especially, to restrain the increase of fog with time by forming a layer containing an organic silver salt and a silver halide and a reducing agent and at least one kind of a specified hydrazine derivative and incorporating at least one kind of a compound having a group capable of releasing a halogen radical in the molecule. SOLUTION: The heat-developable photosensitive material is provided on a support with at least one photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt and a silver halide and a reducing agent and a compound having a group capable or releasing a halogen radical in the molecule and at least one kind of hydrazine derivative represented by the formula in which A0 is an aliphatic or aromatic or heterocyclic or -G0-D0 group each optionally substituted; B0 is a blocking group; each of A1 and A2 is H atom or one is H atom and the other is an acyl or sulfonyl or oxalyl group.
