PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record information affixed to each melody automatically onto an optical disc. SOLUTION: A digital voice signal obtained by playing a mini disc is delivered on a digital voice signal line 5 to an MD system 8 and recorded on a mini disc. Information affixed to each melody, e.g. the name of melody, is delivered on a serial communication line 6 to a microcomputer 7 for controlling MD and stored in an RAM for storing U-TOC information. The U-TOC information in the RAM is recorded on the mini disc before being discharged from the MD system 8.
