PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper releasing mechanism for a recording medium which releases the restraining of a stopper means engaging the recording medium with a holding means by allowing the releasing of the restraining to be linked to a discharging mechanism of the recording medium. SOLUTION: The engaging of left and right stopper members 128, a stopper operating member 130, a stopper lever 154 and a lever pusher 156, which constitute the stopper mechanism, are approximately released at the same time by linking to one piece of slide lever 92 constituting a part of a loading mechanism. Namely, a minidisk 12 of the stopper mechanism is surely pulled back into a slot part without disordering the timing of switching the engaging or releasing thereof to the minidisk 12 of a stopper mechanism as a conventional one. Thus, since the constitution with respect to the stopper mechanism becomes simple, a linking error is prevented and the stopper releasing mechanism becomes inexpensive.
