PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor for accurately detecting the concentration of carbon monoxide even if a contaminant such as sulfuric compound exists in a gas to be detected. SOLUTION: A gas sensor is provided with a solid electrolyte substrate 1, a pair of electrode films 2a and 2b, a catalysis film 3, and a gas selection permeation substrate 6, carbon monoxide required for detection permeates the gas selection permeation substrate 6, and a contaminant such as a sulfuric compound cannot easily permeate the gas selection permeation substrate 6, thus preventing the electrode films 2a and 2b and the catalysis film 3 from being subjected to poisoning easily and hence obtaining a durably gas sensor. |
