<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of the collection processing of a toll while the crash accident of vehicles is suppressed in the tollgate of a toll road. SOLUTION: A toll collection system is provided with a vehicle entering detector 3 detecting a vehicle, on which an on-vehicle unit for paying a toll by radio communication with an antenna is loaded and which travels straight toward a gate, on this side of the gate, a vehicle entering timer counting prescribed time when the detector 3 detects the vehicle, a vehicle start detector 9 detecting the vehicle, which passes through the side of a tollgate booth 7 and travels straight, at a position over the gate and a warning display unit 10 displaying warning when the timer counts prescribed time while the detector 3 detects the vehicle and the detector 9 detects it and deleting displayed warning when the vehicle start detector 9 detects the vehicle 2 and the vehicle start timer counts prescribed time.</p> |
