PRODUCTION OF ENCAPSULATED TONER FOR ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce an electrostatic charge image developing spherical encapsulated toner excellent in developing and fixing characteristics in an economical manner by using a plant for producing a toner by the conventional pulverization method as it is. SOLUTION: Pulverized toner particles consisting of a colored resin composition comprising a bonding resin, a colorant and a releasing agent are dispersed in a dispersion medium in which the toner particles are insoluble. The bonding resin of the toner particles is dissolved in the obtained dispersion liquid. A liquid compound insoluble or slightly soluble in the dispersion medium is then added and swollen in the toner particles. The swollen liquid compound is removed from the toner particles, the toner particles are made in spherical form and a capsule structure including the releasing agent is formed.
