<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate wasteful dial operation and to attain suppression of communication cost by a server device which notifies a user who receive distribution information such as a new electronic mail that the received it, a user side recognizing this, calling the server device and performing dial connection. SOLUTION: A mail server device SM registers a user identification name and a telephone number for calling a data terminal TE that the user uses, and calls the registered telephone number when information to be distributed to the user is received anew. However, when a telephone number notified by an analog network PSTN is a registered number of the server device SM, the data terminal TE ignores the incoming calls, by using a connection number of the server device SM and performs dial connection to the server device SM. Then, when the dial connection demand is made by the data terminal TE, the server device SM transmits distribution information stored in response to the connecting user.</p> |
