PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting type display device allowing an observer with the device mounted to observe an excellent video and also speedily and excellently confirm an ambient situation keeping the device on the observer even on a mobile body like a car in such a case as speedy actions are frequently required in response to an emergency state. SOLUTION: This device is a mounting type display device for displaying a video to a crew on a mobile body, and is characterized in that it is provided with a video signal generating means 1 for generating a video signal, a display means 2 mounted on the crew for guiding the video by the video signal to the eyeballs of the crew, an emergency state detecting means 3 for detecting the emergency state of the mobile body, and a control means 4 for halting the video display by the video signal according to the emergency state detected by the emergency state detecting means 3, and the display means 2 is provided with an image display element 2a for converting the video signal into an image, and an optical means 2b for guiding the video based on the image to the eyeballs of the crew mounted with the device and displaying it and also guiding the video and an external world image introduced from the external world to the crew to the eyeballs of the crew.
