PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recipient from misunderstanding the contents of a message by displaying a reception fault message to a missing part on the occurrence of a missing part of the message. SOLUTION: When a plurality of partial messages configuring an entire message are received, a CPU 16 stores the received partial message to a RAM 18. When all the partial messages can be received, the entire message can be generated from the partial messages. However, when the reception of a part of the entire partial messages fails, the entire message is generated by using the received partial messages and a prescribed 'reception failed' message written in a ROM 30. Then the generated entire message is displayed on a display device 26.
