PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the overheating of a rectifier caused by the lack of cooling water and defects such as defective plating and to eliminate the raising of alarm at some specified supply output values even if the flow of cooling water becomes lower than a rated value. SOLUTION: A water cooling rectifier with the maximum output value controllable to prevent overheating is provided with a flow sensor 31 for generating the flow of cooled water as an electric signal, an arithmetic unit 4 for converting the electric signal from the flow meter to an output value which can be supplied based on the relationship between a predetermined flow of cooled water and an output value which can be supplied without causing overheating, and a controller 5 for controlling the maximum output value of this water cooling rectifier, based on the avoilable output value which is calculated by the arithmetic unit 4.
