PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the MUSE decoder that enhances image quality of a moving picture without increasing a capacity of a line memory. SOLUTION: A vertical vector correction circuit 100 has line memories 10-16 that are connected in cascade, a selector 20 that selects any of input output taps L0-L7 according to a vertical vector signal to be sent, selectors 21-23 that properly select the taps L0-L7, and a 2-dimensional correction filter 51. An adder 52 sums a moving picture filter output of a moving picture processing circuit 5 and a moving picture filter output of the correction filter 51 to reproduce a moving picture consisting of MUSE signals. Thus, number of vertical taps of the moving picture filter is increased.
