PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device, an image reproducing device, a successive image pickup method and the contrast display method of successively picked-up images, capable of easily comparing the plural sets of the successively picked-up images of the different operation speeds of an object. SOLUTION: At successive image pickup, an identifier is attached to an image under consideration by a button operation the successively picked-up images are picked up and the image under consideration specified in such a manner is recorded. At reproduction, it is taken out and contrast is displayed. After starting the successive image pickups (S1-S3), when a user performs a half shutter operation, the image is defined as the image under consideration, a flag = 1 is attached (S5), and a flag = 0 is attached to the other images (S6). A control part takes out image data temporarily stored in a DRAM and compresses in JPEG manner, preserves and records them. Also simultaneously, a flag value set in a step (S5) or (S6) is written to an image registration list (S7). At reproduction, the image of the flag value 1 can be taken out and contrast can be displayed.
