The unit (1) includes a liquid atomizer (18) followed by the centrifugation section and then the outlet (3). Preferred features: Electrical polarization is applied upstream of the inlet opening (2), level with atomization and the centrifuge. The centrifuge includes a cylindrical microporous or microfibrous filter (6). A peripheral intercepter collects liquid from the centrifuge. A frontal extractor removes gas vaporized by the front, upstream face (4) of the filter. Extraction removes vapors atomized by the radial face of the filter. A central extractor removes vapors atomized by an axial surface of the filter. The atomizer produces droplets 0.5 - 6 mu m in diameter. Atomized liquid is recycled; it contains a fixation reagent. An additional peripheral filter is included.
