PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate a mute program previously stored in a storing means provided for an electronic apparatus for setting OFF of a sound function by a single operation of a user. SOLUTION: A program activating device automatically activates the mute program previously stored in the electronic apparatus 100 to set OFF of the sound function previously stored in the storing means. Then, the device is provided with activating condition storing means 66A, 66 storing an activating condition previously set by the user and an activating sequence control means 2A for activating the mute program for setting OFF of the sound function previously stored in the storing means in the case of judging that the state of the apparatus 100 is matched with the activating condition stored in this starting condition storing means.
