PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for a machine tool, which can surely prevent infiltration of a liquid such as a cutter oil. SOLUTION: When a liquid is splashed to or flows along a rotating shaft 21 in operation, first it is caught by a flange 27 and also flown outwards by centrifugal force. The liquid coming over this flange 27 infiltrating is checked by a sealing material 29. Moreover, the liquid coming in falls into a drain groove 31 provided in a frame 19 of a motor 17 for a machine and is then removed to the outside. |
