PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser amplifier which prevents a generation of space hole burning caused by a mutual operation of laser which faces in an exciting region and suppresses an enlargement of a spectral band of amplified laser and a strength modulation for hours by a constitution where all no laser is duplicated in the excitation region or by a constitution where laser bean which progresses a reverse direction in the exciting region is not duplicated in a same polarizing direction. SOLUTION: A laser amplifier which forms an exciting region 8 in a laser medium by exciting the laser medium, which makes an incidence of laser D in the exciting region 8 and which amplifies the laser D by the laser D passing through the exciting region 8 in four times is provided with a light passage regulating means 9 for no laser which passes the exciting region 8 from the first time to the fourth time duplicating in the exciting region 8.
