PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical communication transmission line capable of reducing the deterioration factor of transmission characteristic such as signal line width extension due to resonance phenomenon by setting the lengths of equalization sections which are constituted of a normal distribution fiber section and an abnormal distribution fiber section unevenly. SOLUTION: In this line, the length of the equalization section is made long near the entrance of the transmission line and monotonously and gradually decreased as nearer to its exit, is made short near the entrance of the transmission line and monotonously and gradually increased as nearer to its exit, or is made random by making the lengths uneven in order to prevent the occurrence of the resonance phenomenon. For example, the length Li of the equalization section constituted of a normal distribution fiber and an abnormal distribution fiber gradually becomes short in the increase direction of transmission distance in the transmission path. The length Li successively becomes short in the increase direction of the transmission distance, a jitter accumulation is reduced, a narrow pulse such as an optical soliton pulse can stably exist and the line is suitable for the transmission line using the optical soliton pulse. |
