PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter apparatus by which a ground detector can be constituted at low cost and which can detect a ground fault, even during the inverter apparatus operation. SOLUTION: In this inverter apparatus 2, a signal generation means 37 which generates a signal when all on/off control signals from a computing device 25 become an on-command state with reference to all negative-pole side semiconductor switching elements 12, 14, 16 as series connection bodies, which are connected in parallel across positive-pole side output terminals of semiconductor rectifying elements 4 to 9 as a group, and a current detector 23 is provided. In addition, a discrimination and detection device 36, which discriminates and detects the presence of a current flowing into negative-pole side output terminals of the semiconductor rectifying elements as the group, via the current detector 23 from the negative-pole side semiconductor switching elements when a signal is output from the signal generation means 37, is provided. |
