PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce stresses produced in baffle-former bolts by orthogonally weld-joining or machining a plurality of baffle plates into rectangular baffles forming inside corner parts of a fuel assembly loading area. SOLUTION: Inside corner parts 11a of a fuel assembly loading area 11 are formed of L-shaped rectangular baffles 15. The rectangular baffles 15 are each made up by weld-joining two baffle plates 12 orthogonally to each other, and fixed to a former plate 13 with baffle-former bolts 14. Thus, the baffle- former bolts 14 do not interfere with each other in the vicinity of the inside corner parts 11a of the fuel assembly loading area 11. Therefore, the length of the baffle-former bolt 14 can be lengthened while the inside corner part 11 can be prevented from producing a gap, and cooling water can be prevented from flowing crosswise.
