PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric rotating machine in which a shaft voltage being generated between a rotary shaft and a bearing can be earthed through a simple structure and conductivity can be sustained stably for a long term between the rotary shaft and a bracket. SOLUTION: The electric rotating machine comprises a frame 3 for securing a stator 2 applied with a coil, a rotary shaft 11 bonded with a rotor 10 facing the stator 2 through a slight gap and supported rotatably through ball bearings 6, 7, and bearing brackets 4a, 5a for supporting the ball bearings 6, 7, wherein an oil reservoir 21 is formed by filling the space between the rotary shaft 11 and a part of thick shaft passing part of the bearing brackets 4a, 5a with conductive grease.
