PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the best diversity reception state at any time by continuously controlling an antenna switching threshold value corresponding to the gain difference between a 1st and a 2nd antenna, the received electric field intensity, and working antenna. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a circuit 10 which stores the received electric field intensity of the antennas 1 and 2, a circuit 11 which discriminates the gain difference between the antennas 1 and 2, and a threshold setting and varying circuit 12, and a threshold control circuit 9 increases the threshold for switching from the high-gain antenna to the low-gain antenna according to the antenna gain difference as the received electric field intensity decreases and decreases the threshold for switching from the low-gain antenna to the high-grain antenna to the contrary, and sets a received electric field intensity point where the switching from the low-gain antenna to the high-gain antenna is always performed lower than the received electric field intensity point where the switching from the high-gain antenna to the low-gain antenna is stopped.
